January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Human trafficking is a crime that involves compelling or coercing a person to provide labor or services, or to engage in commercial sex acts. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which enforces federal anti-discrimination employment laws, continues to combat labor trafficking.
